Troy Man Convicted of Drug Dealing

TROY - First Assistant District Attorney Carmelo M. Laquidara announced today that James Scott, 21, of Troy, New York plead guilty to Attempted Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a class “C’ felony and was also sentenced today on that charge and received  4 Years in State Prison and 3 years of Post Release Supervision by the Honorable Debra J. Young.




On February 27, 2014, the defendant sold $100.00 worth of cocaine to another person.  This case was investigated by the Troy Police Department Special Investigations Unit and the New York State Police.  Assistant District Attorney Michael Shanley prosecuted this case.
