Police: Watervliet Resident Scammed Watervliet Housing Authority of Thousands of Dollars

On September 24th , after a long term investigation,  the Watervliet Police Department  arrested a City Resident for scamming the Watervliet Housing Authority out of thousands of dollars over the course of several years.
 Arrested was:  Nancy Myles  , age 54 , of 2416 4th Avenue in the City of Watervliet, charged with Falsifying Business records 1st degree and Welfare Fraud 3rd degree, both felony charges.

It is alleged that Myles falsified official documents when she failed to disclose that she was married and her husband, who is gainfully  employed , had been living with her for several years while she received hundreds of dollars a month for housing assistance.


Myles was arraigned by the Honorable Judge Reinfurt and released on $10,000 bail.
