House of Angels is proud to welcome International Master Fresco Artist Ilia Anossov for an exclusive meet and greet on Saturday, September 27, 2014 from 1-5 pm at the House of AngelsRenaissance Museum (formerly Sacred Heart Church) at 175 Park Avenue, Cohoes, NY. Ilia will be holding sessions, throughout the meet and greet, as an introductory to the art of fresco painting and as a precursor to future classes to be held at our museum.
Fresco artist Ilia Anossov is one of the very few artists in the world who are considered masters of the art of fresco painting. His knowledge of the techniques of this most difficult, important, yet endangered art form is sought out by his contemporaries at great art institutes and museums. Museums and collectors have sought his input on large-scale restoration projects and his expertise in helping them refine their technique. Ilia Anossov has responded to all inquiries with great generosity, believing the resurrection and proliferation of fresco art to be his true mission in life.
Ilia’s visit represents the ground breaking of our fresco project, a project that will be making history, being one of the largest of its kind in the US upon completion.
