Capital District Community Gardens’ 8th Annual ‘Autumn Evening in the Garden’

A Farm to Chef Extravaganza Unites 17 Chefs, 40 Local Farmers and 300 Guests

WHERE: Hilton Garden Inn, 235 Hoosick Street, Troy.

DESCRIPTION: Capital District Community Gardens will raise $60,000 at their 8th annual Autumn Evening in the Garden, a 15% increase from the amount raised at last year’s gala. Nearly 300 guests will sample culinary fare, featuring fresh meat, produce and dairy donated by 40 local farmers and prepared by 17 of the region’s top chefs. The event also features live music provided by The Neil Brown Jazz Quartet and beverage samples supplied by local beverage purveyors, including The Albany Distilling Company, The Altamont Vineyard and Winery, Brookview Station, Brown’s Brewing Company, Chatham Brewery, Harvest Spirits, Nine Pin Cider and Spilln’ the Beans. Proceeds benefit CDCG’s programs, including 50 Community Gardens, The Veggie Mobile, The Produce Project, The Healthy Stores Project, Squash Hunger and more.
