District Attorney P. David Soares announced that AKEEM WEEKS, 18, of Albany, was sentenced to 4 years in State Prison, to be followed by 3 years of Post-Release Supervision, before Honorable Judge Thomas A. Breslin in Albany County Court this morning.
On August 21, 2014, WEEKS plead guilty to (2) Counts of Burglary in the Second Degree, both Class C Felonies.
WEEKS will also have to pay restitution for the items he stole.
On March 6, 2014, between 7:15am and 2:45pm WEEKS did unlawfully enter two residences on Hollywood Avenue in the City of Albany. In these residences WEEKS did unlawfully steal property with a total combined value of approximately $5630.00.
An Albany Police Officer witnessed WEEKS enter the residences and was able to apprehend him.
Assistant District Attorney Steven Sharp of the Major Offenses Unit prosecuted this case.
