Mayor Rosamilia announces public focus group meetings for HUD five year consolidated plan

The City of Troy will be conducting a series of public focus group meetings at various locations throughout Troy in conjunction with the preparation of the City’s 2015-2019 HUD Consolidated Plan.

“Public participation is a critical aspect of formulating our next five-year plan and we encourage our residents to attend one of the upcoming meetings,” said Troy Mayor Lou Rosamilia.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Consolidated Plan describes the City’s five-year goals and objectives for the use of federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds.  The public focus groups will provide an opportunity for the City to discuss the Consolidated Plan process and proposed activities associated with the plan.

All Troy resident taxpayers, as well as neighborhood organizations, businesses, and other stakeholders in Troy are invited to attend these  public focus group meetings  and speak regarding the targeting of City entitlement funds.

At the public meetings, the Housing & Community Development Department will accept public comments concerning community development and housing needs, development of proposed activities, and review of present and past program performance.  Residents may also submit written comments pertaining to the above at City Hall, 433 River Street, Troy, New York 12180, Attention: Timothy Mattice.
