Arbor Hill Historic Walking Tour Rescheduled in Albany


Originally scheduled for October 25, a free walking tour of historic sites and new developments is planned in recognition of the American Planning Association’s recent designation of Arbor Hill as one of America’s Great Neighborhoods

What: In recognition of the American Planning Association’s recent designation of Arbor Hill as one of America’s Great Neighborhoods, the City of Albany and the Arbor Hill Development Corporation will host a free walking tour to showcase some of the positive new developments in the neighborhood, including the Albany Barn, the new North Swan Street Park, the King Building, and more. A discussion with Mayor Kathy Sheehan, City officials and neighborhood leaders will kick off at the Barn at 1 p.m., followed by a walking tour led by Arlene Way of the Arbor Hill Development Corporation. The tour will conclude with a reception at the Barn.

WhenSaturday, November 1, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Where
: The tour will convene and end at the Albany Barn (48 N. Swan St.)

Who: City of Albany officials, Arbor Hill neighborhood leaders and community partners.
