ALBANY
>> A 46-year-old Albany man has been charged with handgun possession following
an incident on North Manning Boulevard, police said.
On
Sunday at approximately 9:15 p.m., officers responded to the area of North
Manning Boulevard and Third Street for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival,
officers located a female victim who had been shot in her hand and two other
victims who had sustained stab wounds as a result of a large altercation among
a group of people who are known to each other, police said.
All
three victims were treated at the scene and transported to Albany Medical
Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Robert
C. Carter was arrested following an investigation by members of the Albany
Police Department. A loaded .22 caliber handgun was also recovered.
Carter
has been charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon.
He was
arraigned in the Albany City Criminal Court and remanded to the Albany County
Jail.
The
investigation is still ongoing and more arrests are anticipated.
