Charity Young Professionals Event in Albany Slated for Thursday to Benefit Special Olympics

Albany Firefighters to Take Part in ‘Heat & Sweet’ Charity Event

All proceeds support Special Olympics New York

           

WHAT:                                 A young professionals’ mixer to benefit Special Olympics New York.

                                               

WHEN:                                 Thurs., Feb. 12, 2015

                                                5:30 p.m.

WHERE:                               Palace Theatre

                                                19 Clinton Avenue, Albany

WHY:                                    Special Olympics New York will host its first “Heat & Sweet” dinner and cocktail mixer for young professionals. Spicy and sweet food will be prepared by the Chefs’ Consortium and served by members of the Albany Permanent Professional Firefighters Association.

Spicy and sweet food and will be skillfully paired with wine provided by Exit 9 Wine & Liquor Warehouse. The event will include music provided by DJ Trumastr. Alyssa Yeager of Guidestones Jewelry will be on hand to provide love forecasts, and an auction.

And for singles who want to mingle, there will be a modern twist on speed dating called, Lock and Key.

Last minute Valentine’s Day gifts will be available from local business vendors including: Central Florist, Coccadotts Cake Shop, Northeastern Fine Jewelry and Don Don’s Delights.
