Albany Man Sentenced to 60 Years for Sexual Assault

ALBANY, NY – District Attorney P. David Soares announced that DONALD GLASS, 57, of Albany, was sentenced to 60 years in State Prison, to be followed by 20 years of Post-Release Supervision, before the Honorable Stephen W. Herrick in Albany County Court this morning.

On November 21, 2014, GLASS was found guilty after a jury trial of (2) Counts of Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree, both Class B Felonies, and (1) Count of Rape in the First Degree, a Class B Felony.



On July 25, 2013, during the evening hours, in the vicinity of 198 Orange Street, in the City of Albany, GLASS did sexually assault a female who was a stranger to him.

An investigation led by the Albany Police Department, in conjunction with DNA evidence, led to the successful prosecution of GLASS. GLASS will also have to register as a Sex Offender.

Special Victims Unit Bureau Chief Shannon Sarfoh prosecuted this case.
