Albany Man Pleads Not Guilty to December 14 Murder on Hudson Avenue

ALBANY, NY – District Attorney P. David Soares announced that ROBERT LAKE, 59, of Albany, was arraigned on (1) Count of Murder in the Second Degree, a Class A-I Felony, before the Honorable Stephen W. Herrick in Albany County Court this morning.

A Grand Jury returned an indictment alleging that on December 14, 2014, at an apartment at 400 Hudson Avenue in the City of Albany, LAKE did allegedly cause the death of a 56 year old woman who was known to him by means of stabbing her with a knife.



LAKE pleaded not guilty in County Court today at arraignment, and was remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility without bail.  No new court appearances have been scheduled for LAKE at this time.
   
Assistant District Attorney Brett Knowles of the Special Victims Unit is handling the prosecution of this case.
