The Pine Hills Branch of the Albany Public Library will be hosting its 2nd Annual Spelling Bee for Adults on Thursday September 18th at 7pm!
Just like last year, this team event will consist of three team-trivia style spelling challenges, followed by a traditional bee. Only one person from each team needs to participate in the bee portion, so if you consider yourself a poor speller you can still contribute anxiety-free during the games! Last year's attendees really enjoyed the event and were supportive of the spellers, clapping after every word.
If you thought spelling "oscillation" backwards was painful, this year's games will be even more fun and brain twisting. We've even purchased a buzzer for team face-offs!
The three best teams will receive gift certificates to Albany Restaurants! Some suggested restaurants are Rain Chinese Restaurant on Lark St., New World Bistro, and The Point/Juniors/Cafe Madison....but we're open to suggestions!
If you'd like to attend, please have one member of your team reply with the number of people (2-5 adults, no kids!) on your team. Space is limited.
