Firefighters Go Pink to Fight Breast Cancer

The Uniformed Firefighters of Cohoes are dedicated to saving lives both on and off duty.  In October of 2013 Cohoes Firefighters launched their first annual “Passionately Pink” campaign where Firefighters exchanged their navy blue work shirts for pink ones.  The money raised from last year’s sales will be donated at 6pm  on September 19th, 2014 at Cohoes Fire Department Central Station, 25 Central Ave Cohoes, NY.  By request of a CFD Firefighters wife who is heroically fighting breast cancer and spreading awareness the $1,000.00 donation will be made to Capital Region Action Against Breast Cancer! (CRAAB!) .  CRAAB! Is a community base non-profit organization whose priority is providing support services and evidence based information to people who are undergoing and completed cancer treatment.  You can find more information on this non-profit by visiting www.craab.org or contacting them at 518-435-1055.

Friday also kicks off our 2014 “Passionately Pink” campaign with a newly designed pink shirt in both short and long sleeve.  Short sleeve shirts sized Medium, Large, X-Large, and XXL  will be available at LePage’s Market located at 342 N Mohawk St.  Long sleeve and short sleeve shirts all sizes are also available at Cohoes Fire Department Central Station located at 25 Central Ave.  Any questions contact the Uniformed Firefighters of Cohoes at 518-687-0694.
