Banners Displaying Winning Artwork Unveiled in Cohoes for "Safe Summer Poster Contest"

COHOES, NY - Wednesday Albany County District Attorney David Soares and Cohoes Mayor George Primeau congratulated the winning students of the Cohoes School District for their winning entries in the "Safe Summer Poster Contest."
The winners, Carissa Bushey, Emily Bechand, Gabrielle Rushia, all of Cohoes High School, and Devon LeBlanc of Cohoes Middle School, took part in the "Safe Summer Poster Contest," which was a part of the Safe Summer Festival held earlier this summer. The posters have been captured onto Street Pole Banners which will be displayed at Canal Square, lower Remsen Street and the West End Park on Columbia Street.



The students, along with their art teachers, Caryn Dollard and Judith Pingelski, District Attorney David Soares and Mayor George Primeau presented the banners at Canal Square on Remsen Street in Cohoes earlier today.
"I would like to thank District Attorney David Soares and Pastor Charlie Muller for making the Safe Summer Festival possible," commented Mayor George Primeau.
"Congratulations to these students for their winning artwork!" commented DA David Soares. "Thank you to Cohoes City Hall and the Cohoes School District for joining in our "Building Hope" event this summer during the Safe Summer Festival.  Great work all around!"
